Our penguin has found a front-row seat: a chunk of ice with a view. Some real penguins use ice the same way. For Adélie penguins, pack ice is home to the krill they eat and a platform to rest on while feeding. Chinstrap breeding success is lower in years when extensive sea ice persists close to colonies, as it restricts adults' access to the sea for foraging.
The left-chest print is a flat, geometric illustration: a black-and-white penguin with an orange bill, standing on a faceted iceberg. The ice is shaded in white, aqua and pale blue. A white “Chinstrap Collective” wordmark with a small penguin runs down the left sleeve.
