This Random Walk Pro T-Shirt shows the chinstrap penguin wandering a zig-zag path across the snow to claim his gold medal.
He never planned the route, he just followed the melt and his own good luck. Every footprint looked random, but the podium at the end never did. Science has its own random-walk pro: Jean Perrin, who won the 1926 Nobel Prize in Physics. He also substantiated Einstein’s theory that Brownian motion—the random movement of small particles in a liquid—was due to collisions between the particles and molecules in the liquid.
The chinstrap penguin stands on an ice podium with a gold medal round its neck, a zig-zag trail of its footprints leading up through the snow. “Random Walk” sits above the drawing and a one-word title below it, in a colour matched to each shirt, with a small Chinstrap Collective wordmark underneath.
